Anita Fisher RN, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at McMaster University and a co-investigator at the NHSRU, McMaster University site. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the NHSRU, McMaster University site, and continues to research the nursing workforce and HHR policy. She is a former Vice- President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. Her clinical expertise is in critical care, trauma, and emergency room nursing. Her clinical background and senior administrative roles enhance her current research on the development of a critical care nursing workforce profile and tracking system in Ontario.
